Copying - a Black Museum - a comedy of errors

Our black museum of little bits of paper is growing.

All of these were found in examinations.

Here is a new one from the 2003 Comp 231 resit examination.

The tragedy?

The program fragments written on these bits of paper contain so many errors that they would be suitable as exam questions of  the "correct the errors in this program fragment" type. As answers they would get zero marks.

The conclusion

Understanding the basic programming principles that we are covering in the lectures for this course is actually easier than successfully cheating in the exams. Even when I have effectively told you the exam questions in advance.

Do not copy. You will get caught. You will get zero marks. This means that if you do this in the final you will definitely fail the course.
